According to the latest report, the Chinese brand is going to launch the high-end version of the Huawei Mate 40 series smartphone within this year. In details, the new handset – Mate 40 Pro is going to feature a massive 6.9-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. Under the hood, this smartphone can take power from an upgraded Hisilicon Kirin 990 chipset. This offers a slight bump in performance compared to the Kirin 985 flagship platform.
As for the photography system, the Huawei P40 Pro camera includes a brand new circular design set up on the rear with four camera sensors and a dual LED flash. We can expect the Chinese brand to bump the main sensor up to 64MP cameras, while the rest being 40MP + 16MP + TOF. Up front, there is a single MP lens for capturing selfies. In terms of the memory system, the new Huawei device should offer different variants of 8GB/10GB/12GB of the internal storage.
In addition, there is 256GB/ 512GB of the onboard storage which can be expandable up to 512GB via a MicroSD card. Regarding the battery capacity, the Huawei phone keeps the light on a decent 5300mAh juice box that supports 60W fast charging. Moreover, on the software front, the Mate 40 Pro phone works under the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system.
